Job summary

Hunter Selection Limited is seeking a Development Technologist for its food manufacturing client in the UK. The role focuses on owning concept and recipe development from initial briefs through to launch, working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver innovative products.

You will develop prototypes, manage documentation, ensure nutrition and technical compliance, and support launches and continuous improvement projects within a collaborative NPD team.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Food Science, Chemistry or a related discipline.
• 3+ years in food manufacturing experience.
• Experience taking products from concept through to launch.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept and recipe development for new and existing products.

• Prepare samples and support bench, pilot and factory trials.
• Create and maintain accurate product development documentation.
• Ensure products meet nutritional, technical and customer requirements.

A well-established and award-winning food manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Development Technologist to join its innovative NPD team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a food professional with product development experience to take ownership of the concept and recipe development stage of new and existing products. Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will help bring exciting food products from concept through to launch.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead concept and recipe development for new and existing products.

About You

• Commercial awareness and understanding of customer requirements.
• Good kitchen and recipe development skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of food labelling legislation would be advantageous.
