Job summary

Liverpool FC is seeking a sponsorship and brand strategy enthusiast to join the Global Partnership Sales team. This full-time role focuses on targeting categories and brands, researching prospects, and supporting outreach through compelling proposals and presentations.

You will collaborate with internal teams and participate in calls, sometimes traveling as needed. Based in London, you will help shape sales materials, track industry trends, and drive opportunities across the brand/advertising

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years experience in sponsorship, brand strategy, digital strategy, and/or sales.
  • Passion for sports marketing, media, advertising, and sponsorship sales.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead early identification and targeting of categories and brands for the sales team.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform pricing and strategy.
  • Identify new sales prospects and source key decision maker contact details.
  • Develop outreach materials and proposals with the sales and design teams.
  • Coordinate weekly Sales Pipeline meetings and agendas with stakeholders.
  • Draft internal documents for the Sales Team to review with internal stakeholders.

Job description

What will you be doing?
  • Take a lead role in the early identification and targeting of categories and brands for the sales team to focus on.
  • Proactively monitor industry trends and competitor activity to ensure LFC sales team is fully across market shifts, activity and pricing.
  • Identify new sales prospects and source key decision maker contact details.
  • Research new and existing prospects to identify sales hooks to support outreach and proposition development.
  • Lead on the reporting and capturing of up-to-date brand updates for Global Sales Call meetings.
  • Join relevant prospect calls and meetings alongside the LFC Sales Team, to take notes that will shape future sales materials (mostly virtual with travel on occasion).
  • Build and manage sales presentations, proposals, and other materials alongside the LFC Sales Team, design team and internal stakeholders, ensuring that the content, flow and narrative addresses prospect needs and questions.
  • Develop company reports in advance of sales calls with new prospects.
  • Prepare company biographies for the Sales Team and Senior Executives.
  • Identify key industry events and opportunities for LFC to be present within the brand / advertising industry, building this out into an annual calendar of events for the sales team to attend.
  • Lead the organization of the weekly Sales Pipeline meeting for the LFC Sales Team and VP, Global Partnership Sales, planning the agenda alongside relevant Internal LFC Stakeholders.
  • Manage communication with Internal LFC Stakeholders across the Club on behalf of the LFC Sales Team, to support sales requests and prospect conversations.
  • Manage administrative efforts on behalf of the LFC Sales Team, including scheduling meetings with Internal and External Stakeholders.
  • Draft internal documents, such as Proposal Briefing Form and Contract Briefing Form for the LFC Sales Team to review and send to relevant Internal Stakeholders.
Who are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s Degree (degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience within sponsorship, brand strategy, digital strategy, and/or sales for a rights holder, brand, agency, or within a corporate setting.
  • Passion for sports marketing, media, advertising, and sponsorship sales.
  • A great teammate and can-do attitude.
  • Innovative and well-organised with a strong work ethic and a desire/willingness to learn.
  • Aggressive, self-motivated team player that has the ability to focus on individual and team goals.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation-building skills.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to work with a broad cross-section of functional internal teams.
  • Available to travel domestically, work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
