Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking candidates for a Cookhouse Technician role in the Greater Manchester area. The position requires previous production experience in a food manufacturing environment and understanding of GMP and quality control processes.

Applicants should demonstrate high numeracy and literacy, and the ability to communicate in English to follow instructions and work with the team to maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience in production within food manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements and quality standards.
• Understanding of health and safety practices in manufacturing.
• High numeracy and literacy levels for paperwork and calculations.
• Good command of English to communicate and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out production tasks on the cookhouse line and ensure adherence to HACCP/quality standards.
• Support health & safety compliance and mark up quality checks.
• Provide occasional operational cover and investigate issues on the line as required.

Monday to Friday Shifts Days 0600 to 1400/14:00 to 22:00

MUST HAVE:

• Previous experience in Production within FOOD MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENTS ESSENTIAL !

Previous experience in FCMG, GMP

Health And Safety, Quality Control

High numeracy/literacy

You must have a good understanding of English to communicate and follow instructions

• Production of Sauces in Production
• Cooperating with colleagues to ensure compliance with and the progression of Health & Safety standards, speaking up for improvements when needed.
• You will be responsible for carrying out first line investigations into any issues arising and will use judgement and initiative to maintain quality. You may also be asked to provide adhoc operational cover.
