We are seeking a dedicated Cookery Teacher to join our vibrant primary/secondary school in South Shields. About the Role

As our Cookery & Life Skills Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, practical cookery lessons across primary and secondary phases
  • Teach pupils about nutrition, food hygiene, kitchen safety, and healthy eating
  • Develop fun, age-appropriate schemes of work that promote confidence and independence
  • Work closely with tutor groups and colleagues to support the delivery of wider life skills education
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives that encourage wellbeing, teamwork, and personal development
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and inspiring learning environment, including the effective management of kitchen spaces and equipment
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience teaching cookery, food technology, or a similar practical subject (school experience preferred but not essential)
  • Is enthusiastic, approachable, and able to motivate pupils of all ages and abilities
  • Demonstrates strong organisational and classroom-management skills
