Job summary

Clarence Park Residential & Nursing Care Home, part of Willinbrook Healthcare under Care Concern Group, invites a Cook to join the team in Weston-super-Mare. You will prepare and deliver nutritious meals for residents with complex needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met and hygiene standards upheld.

You will work 17 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with no late evenings or split shifts, offering a stable schedule and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Experience in a kitchen or food preparation role.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements, including modified or specialist diets, is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
  • Support menu planning and contribute to varied, balanced dining experiences.
  • Ensure high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety.

Job description

As Cook, you will play an important role within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs by preparing and delivering high quality, nutritious meals that support wellbeing and enhance daily life. You will prepare and serve meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, including modified or specialist diets where required, ensuring high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety are maintained at all times. Working with fresh ingredients, you will support menu planning and contribute to a varied and balanced dining experience. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This role offers a consistent routine and strong work life balance while still allowing you to take pride in delivering quality food every day.

Clarence Park Residential & Nursing Care Home is a well established service in Weston-super-Mare, located close to the seafront and set within a characterful Victorian townhouse.   • 12.71 per hour
  • Contracted to 17 hours per week
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
