Job summary

Borough Kitchen is seeking a skilled Cook School Chef to lead engaging cooking classes and demonstrations, sharing ingredients, techniques and recipes with our guests. You’ll be a confident communicator who creates a welcoming, relaxed, inspiring experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various cuisines and techniques.
• Proven experience as a professional chef or culinary instructor.
• Passion for food and cooking, with a desire to share knowledge and inspire others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Food hygiene and safety certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Host cooking classes in a warm and friendly environment
• Confident communicator who enjoys sharing skills and knowledge, focusing on the why not just the how.
• Prepare cooking classes, ensuring all ingredients and equipment are ready with a focus on cleanliness, safety, and efficiency
• Deliver engaging and informative cooking classes and demonstrations
• Maintain a clean and organised cooking area
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
• Clean down after classes together with the Cook School Assistant
