Job summary

Bield Housing and Care in Airdrie is seeking a cook to deliver high quality meals for tenants in a retirement housing setting. You will work with the team to learn and adapt, meeting dietary needs and maintaining standards.

The role focuses on preparing, cooking and serving meals within a supportive housing environment. It is a 21-hour per week position with Sunday to Tuesday shifts and a paid break.

Qualifications

  • Experience in catering and managing dietary requirements.
  • Comfortable working in a team to deliver meals to tenants.
  • Ability to follow dietary guidelines and ensure food safety.

Cook Position in Airdrie!


Are you looking for a challenging role where you can learn new skills and deliver great food? Are you experienced in catering and managing dietary requirements?


The role of a chef/cook within our Broomfield Gardens development is more than just cooking. You will be working with our team to provide a high quality of life for those that need it.


Hours of employment

21 hours per week.


Sunday-Tuesday 9.30am-5.30pm


1 hour unpaid unpaid break


You will be -



  • Responsible for the provision of a flexible meals service, offering high quality, freshly prepared meals and value for money to tenants in a retirement housing service.

  • Assisting with the ordering, purchasing and storing of food commodities working within the food budget.

  • Ensuring all food hygiene and health and safety standards set by Bield and where appropriate outside regulators are met and actively promote such standards within the development.

  • On a daily basis prepare, cook and serve meals to the tenants as part of a team.
