Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a school kitchen cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals during term time, with full school holidays off. You’ll lead a small kitchen team, plan menus and manage ordering to meet hygiene and nutrition standards.

Shifts begin early to allow ordering time, and the role offers excellent benefits. You will contribute to a supportive educational environment across Cedar House School community.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Food Safety in Catering required.
• Ability to plan nutritious menus.
• Experience budgeting for each meal and ordering in bulk.

Responsibilities

• Cook and serve tasty, nutritious meals for students, staff and visitors.
• Supervise a kitchen team and manage ordering and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations and nutritional standards.

Experience of running a kitchen and ordering is essential . The shifts start at 6:30-7:00 to allow this time for ordering.
