Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Cook for Sunnymeade Care Home in Chard, Somerset. The role involves planning menus, meeting dietary requirements, and ensuring high kitchen standards, with a bank (zero hour) contract and shifts from 7am to 4pm.

£13.50 per hour is offered, plus opportunities for career development, training up to QCF level 5, and additional benefits. Applicants should have kitchen experience and the right to work for at least 12 months.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Cook

• Menu planning: Collaborating with the home manager and our residents' requests and wishes, you will be able to develop and implement menu ideas. Our homes are always having themed days and events where you can showcase your skills and creativity.


• Understanding dietary needs: You will work closely with the wider staff to ensure we are meeting our residents' specific nutritional and dietary needs including modified food textures and allergies.


• Kitchen Management: You will be the main point of contact for the kitchen and responsible for the day-to-day running of stock management and hygiene standards.
