The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Cook 3 for Currie Community High School in Edinburgh. The role involves preparing and serving meals, working as part of a small catering team, and helping to deliver high-quality school catering to pupils.

This post is part-time (26 hours per week, 38 weeks per year) with a pro rata salary of £25,661 to £25,924. The role is regulated and requires PVG scheme membership or update, plus any necessary overseas criminal record checks, with checks completed

Our cooks play a vital role in delivering high quality catering services within schools. Working as part of a team, to deliver a range of meals, basic food preparation and great customer care.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
