Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Cook 1 Kitchen Assistant for Redhall School. The role is 19 hours per week across 38 weeks per session, with a salary of £25,661–£25,924 pro rata for part-time sessional work.

Cook 1 Kitchen Assistant. Redhall School

Hours: 19 per week, 38 weeks sessional
Salary: £25,661 - £25,924 (pro rata for part time and sessional)

Our cook 1's/catering assistants play a vital role in delivering high quality catering services within schools. Working as part of a team, to deliver a range of meals, basic food preparation and great customer care.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
