North Yorkshire County Council is seeking a Cook at St Peters Brafferton Primary School in York. You will prepare, cook and serve meals to pupils and staff, and uphold high standards of food safety throughout all kitchen duties.
This permanent role is 23.75 hours per week during term time weeks only, paid equally through the year at £13.92 per hour. Hours are 09:00–13:45, five days a week; benefits include holiday entitlement and the Local Government Pension Scheme.

We have an opportunity to join our catering team where you will be providing tasty, nutritious, home-cooked meals made from locally sourced fresh produce. We are recruiting a Cook to join us at St Peters Brafferton Primary School, where we cater for around 50/60 meals a day.
As a Cook you will be delivering an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety. Your role will require you to prepare, cook and serve meals to pupils and staff as well as other kitchen management duties such as ordering of food, stocktaking and administration, setting out and putting away dining furniture, washing up and cleaning the kitchen and dining areas.
As a valued member of our hard-working team, you will be reliable, dependable and committed to providing healthy wholesome dishes, typically working from 09:00 to 13:45 totalling 23.75 hours per week over 5 days. No weekend work!
You will work term time weeks only however you will receive equal monthly payments throughout the year. For this you will be paid £13. 92 per hour in addition to annual holiday and Bank Holiday entitlement.
