CareTech is hiring a Cook for Selborne Mews in Smethwick, Birmingham. The role is permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) with a hourly rate of £12.71.
The successful candidate will ensure a clean, hygienic kitchen, cater to dietary requirements, and maintain kitchen records. A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required, with relevant catering or care experience desirable.

Selborne Mews is a care home which provides care and support for people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder who enjoy a wide range of hobbies from Bowling and Swimming to Dance and Music. There is easy access to public transport and it is close to local shops.
We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
The successful candidate will need to hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to undertake the training immediately upon appointment. Previous experience in a catering, kitchen, or care environment would be desirable.
