Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook for a full-time role at our site in Bulford, Wiltshire, serving military personnel with fresh, nutritious meals. You’ll work as part of a professional catering team, following strict food safety standards and maintaining high kitchen standards.

With a 40-hour contract, you’ll contribute to reliable daily service, develop your cooking skills, and have opportunities to participate in events and special functions in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cook or Chef in catering/hospitality environment.
• Culinary skills and a passion for good-quality food.
• Desirable qualifications: City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ 2/3 in Professional Cookery.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
• Positive attitude and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve fresh, high-quality meals in a busy kitchen.
• Ensure presentation, quality and consistency of every meal.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards (in line with EHO).
• Collaborate with a friendly catering team to deliver an efficient service.

• Relevant culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery are desirable
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards (IOSH qualification desirable)
• The ability to work efficiently as part of a busy kitchen team while maintaining high standards
• A positive attitude, good attention to detail and pride in your work
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
