Job summary

NHS Scotland is advertising a part-time cook post at County Community Hospital, Invergordon. The role is 25 hours per week, on a rota that includes mornings and weekends, with hours from 07:30 to 18:00.

You will work as part of a team, assisting the Senior Cook in preparing meals for patients and staff and taking on catering responsibilities in the absence of the Senior Cook. Applicants should have prior cooking experience in a similar environment and hold City & Guilds/SCPTVEC/SVQ level 3 or

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in a similar environment.
• Good communication and organisational skills are essential.
• City & Guilds/SCPTVEC/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification is preferred anyway.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Cook in the preparation of all patient and staff meals.
• Assume full responsibility for the running of the catering service in the absence of the Senior Cook.

Job description

A 25hr cook post working a variety of hours between 07.30am – 6.00pm Monday – Sunday (5/7 on a rotational basis) has arisen within our busy kitchen in County Community Hospital, Invergordon to work as part of a team assisting the Senior Cook in the preparation of all patient and staff meals assuming full responsibility for the running of the catering service in the absence of the Senior Cook.

Applicants should have previous cooking experience in a similar environment City & Guilds/SCPTVEC/SVQ level 3 or equivalent.

Good communication and organisational skills are essential.
