Exemplar Health Care’s Primrose Place in Coalville is seeking a Cook to deliver nutritious, delicious meals for residents with diverse dietary needs. You will play a key part in creating a positive dining experience and help shape a brand-new catering team from day one.

Formación

• Experience cooking nutritious meals for varied dietary needs.
• Food hygiene cert and catering qualification desirable but not essential.

• Prepare, cook and serve meals daily.

• Engage with residents to get feedback on meals.

• Maintain records and complete checks.

Are you an experienced Cook looking for a new challenge? Join us as our new Cook at Primrose Place care home in Coalville.

Meal times are an important part of our daily routine, even more so for those living in care homes. In this role, you'll ensure everyone has a positive dining experience and cook healthy and nutritious meals for the people we support.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new. You'll have the chance to shape the culture of a brand new team, in a state of the art, purpose built home designed with the people we support in mind.

About the role

Our Cooks make delicious and nourishing meals for people with a range of dietary requirements.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include: preparing, cooking and serving foodunderstanding people's needs, likes and choices to develop suitable menusinteracting with the people we support to get feedback on mealscomplying with food hygiene standardscompleting relevant checks and maintaining recordsbeing a great team player, working as part of the wider Catering Team.

If you haven't worked in the care sector before, we'll help you feel right at home from the start with our induction, buddy, and ongoing training programmes.

Above all, you're someone who identifies with our values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success and teamwork.

You're also:

• a cook with a flair for creating delicious and nutritious meals for varied dietary requirements
• creative in menu development and food preparation
• an excellent team player
• adaptable and flexible
• someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills

We like our Cooks to have a food hygiene certificate and a relevant catering qualification, but these aren't necessary.
