Job summary

Thomas Franks is seeking a Cook in London to join a preparatory school catering team. You will prepare meals from fresh seasonal ingredients, cook from scratch and contribute to bespoke menus. The role emphasizes high standards, teamwork and delivering excellent service to pupils and staff.

Job description

A co-educational preparatory school for approximately 200 pupils and teachers, located in Southgate, London. We offer a core feeding of snacks and lunch with limited hospitality. This is a term-time only role working 42 weeks and operates Monday to Friday. There is ample free street parking sround this location.

We are looking for a talented Cook to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in London.

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

Key responsibilities

• To work well in a team, providing breakfast, lunch & hospitality
• To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
• Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Excellent customer service skills

Knowledge / competencies

• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
