Job Opportunity: Cook at Whispers Restaurant

Location: Girton, Cambridge, UK

Contract: Permanent, 24 hours per week, including alternate weekends

We have a rare opportunity available as part of our Whispers Restaurant relaunch. This is an exciting chance for a cook who wants to make their mark in a collaborative environment, supported by our new management team. Working alongside the Chef, you will be part of our kitchen team, delivering high-quality food while maintaining a safe and hygienic environment to ensure a memorable dining experience for our customers.

Situated on the grounds of Abbeyfield's Girton Green service, our Whispers Restaurant offers tea, coffee, homemade bakes, light bites, a seasonal lunch menu, weekly fish & chips, and traditional Sunday roasts, accessible to both residents and the local community.

About You

• You’ll be efficient, diligent, and able to communicate effectively within a team across all kitchen sections.
• You will collaborate with the Chef to create innovative dishes that bring people together.
• You possess strong knowledge of all Health and Safety standards, including COSHH, EHOH, and HACCP legislation.
• You can support and guide kitchen staff to maximize their potential.
