Job summary

Excelcare Holdings is hiring an experienced Cook/Chef for Hunters Down Care Home in Huntingdon. You will prepare nutritious meals, using fresh ingredients, and work with healthcare professionals to align meals with individual plans.

You will maintain kitchen QA, follow Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH guidelines, and contribute to residents’ activities, promoting dignity and respect. The role offers a 40-hour week with 7am to 5pm shifts, Monday to Sunday (4 days a week) with alternative

Qualifications

• Experience of cooking for large numbers.
• 12 months Cook or Chef experience.
• 1 year of experience in a catering environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals using fresh ingredients.

We are looking for an experienced and creative Cook/Chef to join our Hunters Down Care Home in Huntingdon. You will become part of a compassionate and welcoming team providing physical, emotional, and social support and most importantly outstanding meal experiences for the people living in our care home. • £14.90 per hour
• 40 Hours a week Available
• 7am to 5pm Monday - Sunday. (4 Days a Week) Alternative weekends needed.

About the role:

• As the Cook/Chef, you will be required to prepare and cook nutritious meals using fresh ingredients.
• Work with healthcare professionals involved in the support of people living in our care homes to ensure meal plans and dietary requirements fall into individuals support plans and risk assessments.
• Maintain quality assurance systems within the kitchen
• Have a full understanding of Health & Safety as well as Food Hygiene issues, COSHH, and working within the guidelines relating to contamination and cross infection.
• You will be involved in meaningful activities with the people living in our care home as well as always promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect
