Job summary

Impact Food Group (IFG) is hiring a Chef/Cook for St John Plessington Catholic College in Bebington. The role is Monday to Friday, 8.30am-2.30pm, 30 hours per week during term time (37 weeks per year).

The successful candidate will assist the onsite Chef Manager, prepare meals for students and staff, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen. Salary is £16,605 per annum with benefits including free meals and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef, ideally within a school or contract catering environment (but not essential).
• A passion for cooking with fresh ingredients and delivering quality food.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Reliability and pride in maintaining high standards.
