Job summary

Impact Food Group is recruiting a Chef/Cook for Loreto Grammar School in Altrincham. You’ll support the onsite Chef Manager, preparing high-quality, freshly cooked meals for students and staff on a 35-hour week (7am–2:30pm), term-time plus inset days, Monday to Friday.

The role offers a great work-life balance with no evenings or weekends, free meals on shift, ongoing training, and opportunities to progress. A DBS check and trade test are part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef, ideally within a school or contract catering environment (but not essential).
• Passion for cooking with fresh ingredients and delivering quality food.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.

About the role

Job Title: Chef/ Cook

School Location: Loreto Grammar School, Altrincham, WA14 4AH

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Shifts & Working hours: 7am-2.30pm (35hours per week)

Working Weeks: 38weeks per year (term time plus inset days)

Pay Details: £21315per Annum

What will I be doing?
