Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is recruiting for a Conveyor Belting Fabricator & Field Service Engineer in the Greater Manchester area with travel across the UK and Ireland. The role blends workshop belt fabrication with on-site installation, maintenance and repair services at customer facilities.

Ideal candidates have conveyor belt or industrial equipment experience, strong mechanical skills and a valid UK driving licence. Competitive salary, overtime and excellent benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English are required.
• Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with conveyor belts, material handling or industrial machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble conveyor belts to customer specifications in the workshop.
• Join and splice belts using various methods; install guides and tracking components.
• Install and service belts at customer sites; attend breakdowns and perform repairs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and safety inspections on systems.
• Track, align and tension conveyors; diagnose faults and identify root causes.
• Maintain documentation and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
