Job summary

Henderson Scott in Manchester is seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join its residential property team. You will manage your own caseload from instruction to completion, handling sales, purchases, remortgages, and equity transfers.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Chartered Legal Executive or experienced Conveyancer.
• Experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of residential property transactions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion.
• Handle matters including freehold/leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new builds, shared ownership.
• Advise clients throughout the transaction process and draft/review contracts.
• Investigate title issues and report on searches, liaise with clients, agents, lenders and other solicitors.
• Ensure matters progress efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements and maintain client relationships.

Location: Manchester
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:15pm (with an early finish every Friday)
Working Pattern: Office-based during probation, with hybrid working available upon successful completion of probation.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
• Handling a range of matters including:
  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Remortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • New build transactions
  • Shared ownership matters
• Advising clients throughout the transaction process.
• Reviewing and drafting legal documentation and contracts.
• Investigating title issues and reporting on searches.
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors.
• Ensuring matters progress efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.
• Delivering exceptional levels of client care and maintaining strong client relationships.

About you

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Chartered Legal Executive or experienced Conveyancer.
• Proven experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload with minimal supervision.
• Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of residential property transactions.
• Commercially aware and capable of building long-term client relationships.
