Job summary

Gardner Champion Solicitors seeks an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to take ownership of a quality caseload in a structured, well run environment. You will manage your own residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion with support and clear expectations.

The role offers hybrid working (60% office, 40% home), a competitive salary (£55,000–£65,000) plus a bonus scheme, and a path toward greater responsibility as the team grows.

Responsibilities

• Manage own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion.

• Ensure full compliance with lender and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver clear, practical advice with excellent client care.

Residential Conveyancing Solicitor

Dewsbury | £55,000 to £65,000 + Bonus Scheme | Hybrid 60/40

If you are an experienced conveyancer who is tired of firefighting, poor systems and unclear expectations, this role will feel very different.

Gardner Champion Solicitors is looking for a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to take ownership of a quality caseload within a structured, well run environment.

Founded in 1779, we are a long established firm that has evolved with the times. We combine traditional legal standards with a modern, operationally focused approach that values clarity, efficiency and consistency.

This is not a volume factory. You will be supported, trusted to run your files properly and given the structure to do your job well.

The Role

You will manage your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, including:

• Sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and new build matters
• Title investigations, searches and reporting
• Working closely with clients, agents, lenders and other solicitors
• Ensuring full compliance with lender and regulatory requirements
• Delivering clear, practical advice with strong client care

Progression Path

This role is not a static position. We are building for the future, and the right individual will be part of that.

Within 12 to 24 months, there is a clear pathway to increased responsibility, including senior oversight of files, mentoring junior team members and involvement in shaping how the department operates.

Beyond that, there is a genuine opportunity to progress into a Head of Conveyancing position as the team grows.

For those who demonstrate consistent performance, leadership and commercial awareness, there is a longer term route towards Partnership.

This is not time served progression. It is based on delivery, ownership and the ability to contribute beyond your own caseload.
