Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join our busy residential property team in London. You will be assisting a Solicitor in managing live files from instructions through to post-completion. The work involves liaising with all parties and providing administrative support throughout the conveyancing process. Previous residential property experience is essential for this role.

Main tasks of this role include:

  1. Working one-on-one with a fee earner and assisting with their caseloads.
  2. Monitoring and handling post as appropriate.
  3. Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other third parties, providing updates throughout the process.
  4. Handling sales and purchases from pre-instruction to post-completion.
  5. Preparing contract packs for sale, including drafting contract papers, issuing them to the other side, requesting pre-assignment packs, and mortgage redemption statements.
  6. Ordering pre-transactional property searches and Land Registry searches.
  7. Progressing enquiries and drafting reports.
  8. Working in accordance with company policies and compliance standards.
  9. Prioritising and managing urgent requests from clients and referrers.

Candidates should have the following criteria to apply:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a residential conveyancing department.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Team-focused approach.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage own workload, productivity, and quality of work with minimal supervision.
