The Role

As Conversion Specialist, you'll own the strategy and execution of our fundraiser conversion funnels, with a primary focus on email and SMS. This is normally the primary focus of our Senior Marketing Manager who you’ll be covering for. You’ll need a deep understanding of how to craft, execute and measure high-performing user journeys in Hubspot and have a sharp eye for funnel efficiency.

This is a hybrid role — part channel specialist, part growth strategist. You’ll design compelling stewardship campaigns and optimise every step of the funnel to turn sign-ups into active, successful fundraisers.

A primary focus will be on increasing the conversion efficiency of our large scale challenge event partners through email and SMS campaigns. You’ll also be responsible for website and app store lead conversion.

There’ll be a very strong emphasis on Hubspot journey creation, A/B testing, and performance tracking. Make no mistake, you’ll need to be a Hubspot ninja!

Overall you’ll play a key role in how we engage, nurture, and convert fundraisers and donors — helping to scale our platform and grow the impact of some very exciting and high profile partnerships.

What you'll do

• Design, build, execute and monitor high-converting email and SMS stewardship journeys using Hubspot
• Optimise end-to-end fundraiser conversion funnels, identifying drop-off points and opportunities to drive performance
• Develop and own end-to-end conversion strategies across web, app, email and SMS, optimising key fundraiser moments from sign-up to activation and beyond…
• Write insight led copy that is both on brand and performant. A flair for writing will be required
• Work in partnership with brand design to create assets that cut through and perform
• Continuously A/B test and optimise campaign performance — including copy, timing, incentives, design, segmentation, and channel mix
• Collaborate with product, data, and design teams to ensure campaigns are functioning and aligned with platform experience and brand TOV
• Monitor and analyse key conversion metrics, reporting on funnel performance and iterating to drive continuous improvement
• Develop segmentation and personalisation strategies to increase relevance and engagement across campaigns
• Stay on top of industry best practices and bring new ideas to continuously improve campaign efficiency

What we're looking for

• 5+ years experience in email marketing, CRM, or lifecycle marketing, preferably in a tech or fast paced start-up environment
• Proven ability to build, measure and optimise complex automated journeys in Hubspot
• Strong experience with performance tracking, reporting, and using data to inform decisions
• Working knowledge of SMS strategies
• Analytical mindset with a love for digging into data and understanding user behavior
• Strong copy writing skills and an intuitive sense for crafting clear and compelling consumer messages
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Pro-active problem solver
• Curious, performance-driven mindset — always seeking new ways to move the needle
• Experienced in using GA4 and setting up and managing UTMs
• Understanding of compliance standards in email/SMS marketing

Bonus Points

• Experience working with nonprofits or fundraising platforms
• Experience using other CRM tools
• Familiarity with tools like Grafana, or similar BI tools
• Push and in app notification experience
