Job summary

Saga is seeking a motivated Controls Testing Manager to join the Insurance Risk team on a six-month fixed-term contract. The role is a London/Folkestone hybrid with a salary between £55,000 and £63,000 per annum, reporting to the Head of Risk and engaging across SSL's control environment.

You will set up testing across financial, operational and compliance controls, collaborate with senior leaders, and drive improvements using data analytics and IT general controls and GRC approaches.

Qualifications

• Experience in Internal Controls, Risk Management, SOX, Operational Risk or Internal Audit.
• Insurance industry experience and regulatory knowledge preferred.
• Strong understanding of control design and operating effectiveness assessments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and implement the control framework with control owners and senior leadership.
• Train first line risk and control owners on accountability and standards.
• Conduct design and operating effectiveness testing of controls and monitor remediation.
• Develop control indicators and measures to assess control effectiveness.
• Lead reporting of control assessment findings to Executives and Board Committees.
