Job summary

Siemens Energy in Lincolnshire is seeking a Controls Test Engineer to test control system components and functional systems as part of a comprehensive engineering solution. You will work with detailed layouts and mechanisms for complex product builds and tests, focusing on controls manufacturing/testing and process improvements.

Experience with Siemens PCS7, S7, and Control Logix PLCs is preferred, with a time-served apprenticeship or HNC in electrical/electronics.

Responsibilities

• Execute tests in accordance with the production programme and resolve technical issues.
• Utilise fault-finding skills and techniques.
• Communicate with stakeholders across the organisation (drawing office, application engineers, customers, suppliers, project managers).
• Conduct customer witness tests and produce/test documentation, TSPs, and I/O sheets.
• Support cabinet build and small module build/test areas and recommend revisions to improve layout and functionality.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior designers to ensure clear designs and participate in continuous improvement.

What You Bring
