A leading technology firm in Milton Keynes is seeking a Control Systems Engineer on a contract basis to develop innovative control systems and software for a variety of projects. Candidates should have a strong background in engineering, especially in control systems, and be proficient in software tools like MATLAB/Simulink. This role involves short-term contracts with a focus on high-performance engineering.

Qualifications

• An engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in Control, Software or Electronic engineering.
• Strong understanding of modern control system and software engineering approaches.
• Understanding of MATLAB / Simulink for control systems software development.
• Understanding of other software development tools such as C#, Python, or Java.
• Understanding of version control, issues tracking, and software build systems.
• Understanding of software development process and implications of functional safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop control systems that meet project requirements.
• Develop systems from specifications to testing for production applications.
• Prototype control systems hardware and software using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Undertake additional software development activities as required.
• Take ownership of the functionality and performance of control system projects.

Skills

Understanding of control system approaches

Red Bull Advanced Technologies are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join us on a contract basis to help develop control systems and software for RBAT projects. We have short term contract lengths available (4 Months / 6 Months) . These contracts will be inside IR35.

Key Accountabilities:

• To take direction from the Head of Software and Control Systems and develop control systems that meet project requirements.

• To develop systems from initial specifications and requirements documents through to physical testing and prove-out for production applications.

• To prototype control systems hardware and software using a range of tools including MATLAB / Simulink and dSpace Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) rigs.

• To undertake other software development activities as required .

• To take ownership of the functionality and performance of control system projects.

Key Competencies:

• An engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in Control, Software or Electronic engineering.

• A strong understanding of modern control system and software engineering approaches.

• An understanding of MATLAB / Simulink for control systems software development.

• An understanding of other software development tools (C#, Python, Java or similar).
