Job summary

Hewett Recruitment | BCorp in the Cheltenham area is seeking a Controls & Robotics Engineer to design, program and commission PLC, HMI and SCADA systems for UK and international clients. You will lead robotic automation projects from concept to handover, traveling across Europe and North America to sites and training teams.

The role includes a competitive £50,000-£80,000 OTE, international travel, private healthcare and a clear path for development in automation engineering.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Controls & Robotics Engineering role.
• PLC programming experience on Siemens or Allen-Bradley.
• Experience with HMIs, SCADA and industrial networks.
• Experience programming and integrating industrial robots.
• Strong fault-finding and commissioning in automated environments.
• Experience working with customers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC, HMI, SCADA and industrial networks from scratch.
• Develop and integrate robotic automation solutions, including industrial robots.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and controls engineers to deliver complete automation solutions.
• Take ownership of projects from design through commissioning and handover.
• Install, commission and train customers at sites.
• Fault-find, service and improve automation and robotic systems.
• Mentor and support other engineers.
• Manage technical risks and project priorities.
