Job summary
Blue Arrow is recruiting two experienced Controls Engineers to design, develop, test and commission PLC, HMI and safety software for industrial automation projects. The role involves working from the Hinckley office during the design phase, with customer-site travel during commissioning and potential hybrid/remote work in software development phases.
You will work on Siemens TIA Portal/S7 and Rockwell Studio 5000 platforms, with opportunities across diverse industries.
Qualifications
- Design and develop control software for industrial systems.
- Experience with Siemens S7 Classic, STL/IL coding.
- Hands-on commissioning and fault-finding in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop control software for Siemens TIA Portal/S7 and Rockwell Studio 5000-based systems.
- Write, test and commission safety-related control software.
- Configure and commission VFDs, servo drives and fieldbus networks.
- Read electrical drawings, I/O schedules, and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams and commission systems at customer sites.
