Job summary

Escape in West of Scotland is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join the engineering team. You will design, program and commission control systems across projects, working with PLCs, HMIs and protection relays, while collaborating with electrical, mechanical and other engineers.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, testing and documentation, with hybrid working options and a generous benefits package for a versatile engineer.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic/Control Systems Engineering or related field.
• Experience with industrial control systems and PLC programming.
• Experience developing or configuring HMI systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and commission control system solutions.
• Program and configure PLC systems.
• Develop and configure HMI and monitoring systems.
• Set up electrical protection systems and relays.
• Work with generator controllers, ECUs and AVR systems.
• Support testing, commissioning and fault diagnosis.
