Job summary

*able in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for a hybrid role with two days in the office. You will develop software to automate plant and industrial processes, working with Process Engineers and EC&I specialists from design through testing, commissioning and continuous improvement.

You will contribute to control system testing, commissioning and trouble-shhooting across varied automation projects, leveraging Rockwell Studio 5000, RSLogix and fieldbus networks.

Qualifications

• Experience developing PLC software in an industrial environment.
• HMI and SCADA development experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to control automated plant and industrial processes from design through testing and commissioning.
• Support ongoing system development and enhancements as part of project teams.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers and EC&I specialists on automation projects.
• Conduct system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems.

We are supporting a global engineering business with a strong reputation for delivering automation and process control solutions across industrial environments.

Due to continued growth they are looking to appoint an experienced Controls Engineer to join their Engineering & Projects team.

Working alongside Process Engineers and EC&I specialists, you will develop software used to control automated plant and industrial processes, supporting projects from design through to testing, commissioning and ongoing system development.

• Profinet, Profibus, Modbus & Ethernet/IP networks
