Job summary

A UK-based manufacturing company is seeking a Control Systems Engineer for a permanent role with hybrid working flexibility. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree and at least three years of experience with PLCs, CAD systems, and designing electrical controls. Responsibilities include creating control systems for manufacturing and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Opportunities available for those with strong Siemens knowledge or CAD experience.

Qualifications

  • Degree, HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Automation.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with PLCs and CAD.
  • Good knowledge of Siemens systems, ideally S7 and TIA Portal.

A UK based manufacturing company are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Controls Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Degree, HND or an equivalent Electrical engineering or Automation qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with PLC's and CAD
  • Good PLC, HMI & SCADA knowledge & experience – ideally Siemens (S7, TIA Portal) but others will be considered such as Allen Bradley
  • Panel design experience ideally working with EPlan 8 or AutoCAD
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team

The Controls Engineer role will involve:

  • Designing & developing control systems for manufacturing equipment - working mainly with Siemens systems
  • Developing electrical designs using Eplan software
  • Ensure work complies with industry standards such as ATEX
  • Liaising with customers & other departments to ensure requirements are being met
  • Ensuring health & safety regulations are being adhered to
