JOB DESCRIPTION: Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer – Manufacturing, Special Purpose Machinery

This is a Controls Engineer role assisting with installation and commissioning of new packaging machinery, full turnkey production lines and of installations of upgrades on the same – both on site and remotely.
This will involve microprocessor programming using C++ from a scratch on HMI`s with integrated systems / PLC`s to fulfil client requirements.

Home based working roughly one week abroad each month worldwide to client sites.
A regular destination will be the Warwickshire factory for pre-commissioning projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Home based Controls / Electrical Engineering role – working on installation and commissioning of large capital equipment / special purpose machinery projects (individual units and full, turnkey lines) both on site and remotely.
· Working alongside another engineer, reporting to a Controls Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer – Manufacturing, Special Purpose Machinery

· You MUST be proficient in microprocessor programming using C++ on HMI`s with integrated systems / PLC`s.
· You WILL have a proven track record as a Controls or Software engineer working for a company manufacturing or selling capital equipment / special purpose machinery.
· Any previous packaging machinery or pharmaceutical market experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
· Any specific experience of integrating machinery solutions into a network or of working with HMI`s / PLC`s would also be an advantage.

A well established worldwide market leading British manufacturer of packaging machinery supplied to the pharmaceutical market looking to replace an engineer who has been promoted.
I have recruited for this company for over 10 years and have recruited 4 engineers for them in the last 6 years all of whom are still there.
