Job summary

Matcon Limited is seeking a Controls Design Engineer at its Head Office in Evesham. The role focuses on electrical, pneumatic and functional safety systems for powder handling equipment, ensuring compliant, manufacturable designs across markets.

You will collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Operations and Software teams to deliver robust control solutions and maintain documentation in line with CE, Machinery Regulation and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Controls Engineering.
• Experience in controls design for industrial machinery or process systems.
• Experience with ATEX and hazardous area applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and pneumatic control concepts for new and existing equipment.
• Prepare detailed schematics, panel layouts and manufacturing documentation.
• Design control architectures for UK, European and North American markets.
• Develop network architectures (Ethernet/IP, Profinet) and select components.
• Produce FDS and ensure compliance with standards.
