Job summary

LJ Recruitment is seeking a Controls & Design Engineer to join an established engineering team in Suffolk, UK. The role spans design, control systems, product development and continuous improvement, including CAD drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.

You will develop and test control systems, contribute to new product development, and provide support to customers and colleagues while travelling to visit customers and exhibitions as needed.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and develop with a strong technical mindset.
• Experience with CAD, SolidWorks is preferred.
• Experience with electrical and diesel control systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce CAD drawings, schematics and Bills of Materials.
• New product development, testing and validation.
• Developing and testing control systems.
• Continuous improvement of existing products.
• Producing technical documentation, manuals and work instructions.
• Engineering administration, including BOMs and part number creation.
• Providing application support to customers and colleagues.
• Researching new technologies and engineering solutions.
