Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Controls Application Engineer to develop technical proposals and PMS solutions, collaborating with commercial, tendering, engineering, and product teams to meet customer requirements and commercial goals.

You will be the technical lead across tenders, delivering full lifecycle upgrade, retrofit, and replacement solutions for control systems and providing robust documentation to support bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience developing technical proposals and offers for industrial control systems.
• Knowledge of software-based control systems, industrial networks, cybersecurity principles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical focal point throughout the tendering process for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop full lifecycle upgrade, modification, retrofit, and replacement solutions for control systems.
• Provide technical support through all stages of tendering from concept to handover.
• Create technical documentation including specifications, system diagrams, I/O schedules, and bid support docs.
• Review customer specifications and identify opportunities to add value.
• Identify and communicate risks during tendering lifecycle.
• Evaluate existing control systems and recommend upgrades or replacements for third-party systems.
