Job summary

Hartland Recruitment & Advertising Limited is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design PLC/HMI projects and commission them on UK sites. This role offers Midlands/Office/Home-based work with UK site travel.

You should have 4+ years in control systems engineering design, PLC programming and HMI configuration, and be able to read electrical drawings while mentoring junior engineers in a growing company.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in control systems design.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI configuration.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• Willing to work across Midlands/Office/Home with UK site commissioning.
• Ability to work independently and mentor others.
• UK right to work (visa sponsorship not available)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement PLC/HMI control systems for factory automation.
• Commission projects on UK sites with minimal supervision.
• Mentor and upskill junior engineers on the team.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Manage own projects from concept to commissioning.
