Job summary

Babcock International in Plymouth offers a Control Systems Engineer Degree Apprenticeship. Over four years you’ll work toward a BEng in Applied Professional Engineering while contributing to projects that support national security.

Based at Devonport on site, you’ll learn from experienced engineers, gain practical experience and help with fault finding, maintenance and system improvements across control systems.

Qualifications

• UCAS tariff points minimum 112.
• GCSE maths, English and a STEM subject at grade C/4 or above.
• A level Maths at Grade B.
• Security clearance requirements may apply (BPSS, SC, NNPI).
• UK nationality requirement for certain programmes.

Responsibilities

• Attend on-site Devonport placements and block-release study.
• Work toward a BEng while contributing to control systems projects.
• Learn PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation panels and industrial networks.
• Support design, installation, testing and commissioning of new control systems.
