Job summary

Outsource UK in Barrow-in-Furness offers a Hybrid role (2-3 days on site) for a Control Systems Engineer developing PLC and SCADA applications within a highly regulated environment. You will support software development, testing, integration, and commissioning, while maintaining control systems software and collaborating with engineering teams.

The role requires a degree in engineering or equivalent experience and hands-on work with platforms like WinCC OA, Rockwell ControlLogix, and Honeywell

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience developing PLC and/or SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems.
• Background within Defence, Nuclear, Marine, Energy, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.

We're looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join a major engineering programme, supporting the development of safety-critical PLC and SCADA systems within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC and SCADA applications
• Support software development, testing and integration activities
• Configure and maintain control systems software
• Work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders
• Support commissioning, fault-finding and system validation
