Job summary

Allen & York Ltd. is seeking a Control Room Team Leader to oversee day-to-day monitoring and performance management of wind assets. The role involves SCADA monitoring, data analysis, and coordinating responsive maintenance with engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience in service or operational environments within renewables, strong communication and organisational skills, and a full UK driving licence. On-site role with a competitive package is offered.

Control Room Team Leader

Perth, Scotland | Renewable Energy | Wind

I'm currently working with a growing renewable energy business that is looking to appoint an experienced Control Room Team Leader to strengthen its operational monitoring and control room function in Perth.

The business specialises in the operation, maintenance, optimisation and asset management of onshore wind assets across the UK, and this is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in SCADA, operational control or engineering/site operations to take on a key role within a growing team.

The Role

As Control Room Team Leader, you'll play a central role in the day-to-day monitoring and performance management of a diverse portfolio of wind turbines.

You'll be responsible for monitoring turbine performance through SCADA, analysing operational and meter data, identifying anomalies and trends, and helping engineering teams proactively address potential issues.

You'll also be involved in:

• Monitoring and controlling wind turbine status and performance through SCADA
• Analysing operational data to identify performance issues and opportunities for improvement
• Supporting proactive maintenance by identifying potential faults and anomalies
• Maintaining accurate records of site works, maintenance activities, repairs and required follow-up actions
• Producing regular operational and performance reports for both internal teams and clients
• Anticipating potential issues across sites and helping identify practical solutions
• Ensuring work is delivered efficiently, systematically and within agreed deadlines
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and compliance across all activities

What I'm Looking For

I'm keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience working within a service, operational or procedural environment, ideally with some exposure to engineering services, site operations or renewable energy.

You'll need:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn bespoke software systems
• Customer service experience
• A full UK driving licence

Experience with SCADA systems, operational control environments, wind turbine safety rules, engineering services or health & safety compliance would be particularly advantageous.
