Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Control Room Operator for wind turbines based in Perth, Scotland. You will monitor onshore wind assets using SCADA and supporting engineering teams.

You will analyse turbine data, investigate alarms, produce performance reports, and help drive efficiency and availability across the portfolio. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in control room operations or similar environments.
• Familiar with SCADA systems and monitoring platforms.
• Ability to analyse technical/operational data.
• Willingness to commute to Perth, Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Monitor onshore wind turbines using SCADA and monitoring systems.
• Analyse turbine data, alarms, availability and generation.
• Carry out regular performance analysis across the turbine portfolio.
• Investigate faults and alarms and escalate where required.
• Identify trends and recurring issues through data analysis.
• Support field engineers with technical information and reports.
• Produce operational and turbine performance reports.
• Maintain accurate records of faults, interventions and performance.

Control Room Operator (Wind Turbines)

Are you a Control Room Operator or similar with experience in wind turbines or renewable energy looking to join a growing company where you can develop your technical skills and play a key role in monitoring turbine performance?

This UK-based renewable energy specialist provides nationwide operation, maintenance, and technical support for onshore wind turbines in the 200kW to 850kW range. Operating across England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, the company delivers high-quality O&M, performance optimisation, technical upgrades, and asset support to maximise turbine availability and long-term value.

In this role, you will monitor a portfolio of onshore wind turbines through SCADA and operational monitoring systems. You will be responsible for analysing turbine data, monitoring performance and availability, investigating alarms and faults, identifying trends, and supporting field engineering teams with technical information. You will also produce performance reports and use data analysis to identify opportunities to improve turbine efficiency and generation.

This role would suit someone with experience in a control room, SCADA, renewable energy, power generation or technical operations environment who has strong analytical skills and an interest in wind turbines and renewable energy.

The Role:

• Monitoring onshore wind turbines using SCADA and operational monitoring systems
• Analysing turbine data, alarms, availability and generation
