About the Role

Hargreaves Industrial Services provides a varied Operations and Maintenance service at Drax Power Station, handling materials including FBA, Coal, and Mitigant Slurry, managing stocks and transportation with Mobile Plant.

Responsibilities

1. Operating and monitoring fixed plant in biomass and materials handling areas.
2. Monitoring plant from the Control Room.
3. Delegating tasks to operational staff.
4. Carrying out operational tasks with required training and competence.
5. Identifying defects via alarm systems, logging, and raising WOCs.
6. Planning and managing shift maintenance resources.
7. Updating maintenance documentation.
8. Ensuring safety protocols are followed.
9. Communicating with Safety Controllers.
10. Performing 'Designated Person' duties, including safety precautions.
11. Operating control desks per training.
12. Responding to alarms and diagnosing issues.
13. Assisting with breakdowns, spillages, and plant shutdowns.
14. Participating in testing and maintenance activities.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills:

• Operationally trained and competent
• Control room operational experience
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of PPM and RCM inspection criteria
• Understanding of asset lubrication principles

Desirable Skills:

• Permit acceptance within Drax safety rules
• Forklift operation
• Experience with Hot Works, Mechanical Maintenance, and relevant qualifications

All personnel must comply with health and safety regulations, including face mask requirements and being clean-shaven on site.
