Job summary

ALTEN is looking for a technically minded Project Engineer to support Function, Control & Automation engineering activities across a major programme in the UK. You will coordinate FCA work packages, bridge engineering scope to deliverables, and work with engineers, planners and stakeholders to drive progress to successful completion.

You will engage with design, operations and safety teams, manage interfaces, and support planning and scheduling using project control tools to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Experience delivering engineering projects in regulated or high-hazard environments.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation including P&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams, Functional Specifications, Control Philosophies and Engineering Requirements.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive actions to completion.
• Experience identifying and managing project risks, issues and dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate FCA engineering activities across multiple systems and projects.
• Translate technical scope into deliverables, milestones and work plans.
• Manage dependencies, interfaces, risks and engineering actions.
• Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Track progress and maintain accurate reporting against project schedules.
• Escalate issues and risks that may impact project milestones.
• Facilitate communication between design, operations, safety and delivery teams.
