Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a C&I Engineer to contribute across Nuclear New Build, Decommissioning, Reactor Operations and Fusion. You’ll work on projects through the full lifecycle—from concept and tendering, through design development, supply, installation and commissioning to decommissioning—while delivering high-quality technical documentation and client-facing outputs.

  • Strong engineering judgement and solid understanding of IEC/BS standards.
  • Ability to produce and review high-quality technical drawings and reports.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail, good time management, and a proactive approach to learning and development.

Responsibilities

Job Description Overview

Do you enjoy solving complex problems, simplifying big ideas, and building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues? As a C&I Engineer in the AtkinsRéalis Nuclear business, you’ll contribute to projects across Nuclear New Build, Decommissioning, Reactor Operations and Fusion - gaining rapid responsibility and delivering real impact alongside a diverse, supportive C&I team.

Your role

Work on a variety of projects across the full project lifecycle; from concept and tendering through to design development, supply, installation, commissioning and decommissioning.

Develop and review technical documentation such as specifications, basis of design, control philosophies, instrument data sheets, loop diagrams, etc.

About you

Degree (or equivalent) in Instrumentation or Control Engineering.

Indicative salary range: £42k–£52k, subject to experience.
