KO2’s client, a leading and fast-growing robotics business based in Newcastle, is looking to hire an ambitious Controls Engineer to join their cutting-edge engineering team. What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-tech environment and brings expertise in the following areas:

• Hands-on experience with PLC integration, ideally in an automotive, industrial, or defence setting.
• Proficient in structured text, ladder logic, and function block diagrams.
• Understanding of control system design and development workflows.
• Ability to work on software development for PLCs and integrate with wider system architectures.
• Design and optimisation of enclosures, wiring harnesses, and PCBs for automotive or industrial systems.
• Familiarity with EMC, thermal, vibration, and environmental constraints in control system design.
• Experience with E3 or similar CAD tools for harness design and system integration.
