National Grid is transforming the way we manage control systems and cyber security across our transmission network. As a Control & Cyber Lifecycle Engineer, you'll help shape the future of substation automation, protection and control systems, and operational technology (OT) cyber security. Working within the Control & Cyber Lifecycle team, you'll support the development of technical standards, asset strategies and future technology roadmaps that ensure our network remains safe, secure and resilient. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in either Protection & Control or OT Cyber Security who is looking to broaden their expertise and develop a deeper understanding of both disciplines.
We're looking for a motivated engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, influencing future engineering decisions, and working collaboratively across multiple disciplines.

We recognise that candidates may come from either a Protection & Control background or an OT Cyber Security background. We do not expect applicants to be specialists in both disciplines from day one. A competitive salary around £55,000 - £65,000 – dependent on capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
