We're expanding our HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) capability and building a new, dedicated team to power the Great Grid Upgrade. You’ll join the Asset Engineering Assurance team who are responsible for assuring the quality of engineering work completed on all the assets on the high voltage electricity network across England and Wales. Enabling a multi-billion-pound capital plan to be technically assured, resilient against cyber threats, and enabling net zero.
National Grid is hiring for an Asset Engineering Assurance Manager - HVDC. This role can be based from either of our main base office locations accross the UK.
As Asset Engineering Assurance Manager - HVDC you will lead and develop a team of technical and equipment specialists that provides expert engineering input and assurance for HVDC at all relevant stages of the investment process to ensure the delivered solutions meet the expected standards and specifications. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the relevant engineering standards, policies and processes are aligned with the Asset Management Strategy, regulatory requirements and industry benchmarks.

Up to £76,000 dependent on experience.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 30% of your salary for stretch performance, a Job Requirement Car and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
