Job summary

IPSUM in Livingston is seeking an experienced Contracts Supervisor to lead the Water team. You will manage engineers, technicians, vehicles and equipment, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to high standards.

You will audit on-site activities, manage crews through their lifecycle, and contribute to quotations for works while maintaining safety and quality. This role is a 14-month maternity cover, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisor role within the utilities sector, drainage industry preferred.
• SSSTS and IOSH certifications are desirable.
• Must have a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management and planning of engineers/technicians, vehicles and equipment.
• Monitor health and safety, quality and environmental performance.
• Front line people management including return-to-work interviews.
• Manage vehicles, plant and equipment to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
• Ensure policies are implemented, monitored and audited.
• Assist Drainage Service Manager in meeting KPIs.
• Plan and coordinate works with management to pre-site/pre-plan.
• Identify and resolve issues to prevent escalation.
• Liaise with client sites and monitor subcontractors.
• Maintain positive relationships and effective issue resolution.
